MURDER BALL

The Troop divides into two teams. A mat is placed at either end of the hall with one basketball. The teams stand with every member touching the wall behind the mat. Teams score goals by placing both balls on the mat simultaneously when "GO" is said.

TIN CAN SHUFFLE

Four tin cans per Patrol are placed in the centre of the hall. One chair is placed in each Patrol corner. One Scout per Patrol is blindfolded. On commencement of the game, the blindfolded Scout must locate the cans and place them on the legs of his/her Patrol's chair. Only one can may be moved at a time. Scouts are allowed to remove cans from the opposing Patrols' chairs. The other members of the Patrol may shout instructions to the Scout whose turn it is.

The winning Patrol at each turn is the first to place a can on all four legs of the chair.

CHOPSTICKS

Give each Patrol two rolled up newspaper battens, or pool noodles, and a tennis ball. Place a plate about three or four metres in front of each Patrol. On "GO" the ball is propelled along the ground to the plate, then lifted and placed on the plate in some way using the battens only. When completed, grab the ball and battens and pass onto No.2.

To make the game a little more complicated, only put out one plate for all the Patrols.

CATCH CHASE

The Troop stands in a circle, with a small ball being passed freely from Scout to Scout. One Scout is placed in the centre of the circle and they try to tag a person who has caught the ball before they can get rid of it again. The tagged Scout then changes places with the Scout in the centre.
